Electronic
Timesheet Instructions
-
Go to http://www.vermontinstitutes.org/staff/timesheet.htm,
or you can access a link to the VI Timesheet from the VI
Staff page.
-
Fill in your
name as your e-mail address is, first initial and last name (no
spaces). Example, for me, Dana Paull, I am dpaull, all lower case
please.
-
Select the appropriate
pay period, and fill in the number of hours worked each day, no
decimals needed, by type of hours just as you would
on your timesheet. The auto total field has not yet been added, so please
double check the figures you’ve entered for accuracy in relation
to your Full Time percentage and total for the pay period.
-
Fill your full name
in the space provided on the bottom of the sheet as your electronic
signature.
-
Hit submit. Congratulations,
you’ve submitted your first electronic
timesheet!
-
You should then see
a screen which acknowledges your submission and you’re all
set!
-
Because of the database
we are using to track timesheets, we will need you access this
online form and submit it, e-mailing
a
version
of the timesheet to us will not work.
-
Please plan on submitting
a timesheet every other Friday. Phyllis will still be sending out
timesheet reminders, but a simple task in your
Microsoft Outlook will pop up a reminder for you!! Our accountants currently
still need to enter this data into their system for payroll processing,
so meeting the Friday deadline is still important, but hopefully this
new, more efficient system will make it easier for everyone to do this!!!
-
Important note: timesheets
cannot be updated once submitted, and the system will only allow
you to submit one timesheet
per pay period.
So
please do not submit timesheets in advance. Once you
know whether you have taken any sick, vacation, personal or
holiday time,
then proceed
with submitting your timesheet.
- Eventually we hope
to utilize this format for calculating your Paid time off balances
and have them displayed
here for your convenience.
This makes it crucial for each person to submit a timesheet
each pay period as we are hoping to utilize your timesheets
as the
method in
which
your paid time off balances will be calculated (plus,
we are required to have them for auditing purposes).
