The Vermont Mathemtics Partnership's Ongoing Assessment Project (OGAP) is a cognitively-based formative assessment instructional intervention in mathematics. OGAP focuses on fractions, multiplicative reasoning and proportional reasoning in grades 2-8. It includes materials related to cognitive research, strategies and tools to gather formative information about student learning and to make instructional decisions based on evidence and knowledge of cognitive research. OGAP has been developed through the Vermont Mathematics Partnership in collaboration with Marge Petit Consulting, a national advisory panel, and a design team of mathematics educators and researchers.
The Vermont Mathematics Partnership is funded by a grant provided by the US Department of Education (Award Number S366A020002) and the National Science Foundation (Award Number EHR-0227057)
