New Directions

Since 1992 The Vermont Institutes (formerly the Vermont Institutes for Science, Math and Technology) has been a major partner in research-based professional development, product development, and research and evaluation for Vermont educators. Our work in mathematics, science, and technology has impacted thousands of Vermont educators and tens of thousands of Vermont students over the past fifteen years.

In our sixteenth year our emphasis is shifting from professional development to research and program evaluation. Partnerships with pre-K-12 educators, institutes of higher education, the Vermont and US Departments of Education, and the National Science Foundation contribute to a robust portfolio of research activities, and program evaluations that form the core of our current and future work. We also are working with partners to ensure ongoing access to our courses, publications, and research for educators nationwide.

Thanks for your interest in The Vermont Institutes. If you have questions about our organization or the work we do please contact me:
